While I feel that this situation is sad, it's not surprising. I went to a birthday party this weekend for a cousin's one-year old, and there were many men there that could care less about the image they portrayed to their children. I am not perfect, and I have my warts, but I pray that my failings never hinder my children's ability to become true men or women of God.
